Handy Chromebook Shortcuts

Here are a few Chromebook shortcut commands:

  1. Ctrl + Alt + T: This opens the crosh terminal, which allows you to enter shell commands on your Chromebook.

  2. Ctrl + Shift + Q: This logs you out of your current user account. If you hold down the Shift key while pressing Q, you will log out and also stop all running apps.

  3. Ctrl + Alt + ?: This displays a list of keyboard shortcuts for the current screen.

  4. Ctrl + D: This will start the process of wiping your Chromebook and returning it to its factory state. This can be helpful if you want to sell or give away your Chromebook, or if you want to start fresh with a clean install.

  5. Ctrl + L: This will highlight the URL in the address bar, allowing you to quickly delete it or type in a new website to visit. Alt + D will do the same thing if you are used to using Windows.

  6. Ctrl + Shift + H: This opens the Chrome browser’s history.

  7. Ctrl + H: This opens the Chrome browser’s history, but only for the current tab.
